'Ready, Set, Go'
'Ready, Set, Go' (PDF, 833KB) is a free program designed to give your child a head-start to Prep. This program will expose your child to the curriculum experienced in the first term of Prep, allow familiarisation with some of the rules and routines attached to primary school, meet other students and prepare them for a smooth transition into the Prep year.
It will provide opportunities for asking questions and give you a chance to meet with other parents/carers to enjoy some great structured activities with your child in a fun-filled, resource-rich environment, planned and implemented by experienced teachers and teacher aides. Mackay North State School is an outstanding school and we look forward to welcoming you and your child.
We would also like to invite you to join us for our Prep Open Day (PDF,235KB) which is a morning of fun along with the opportunity for families to ask questions and gather information to allow their child a smooth transition when starting prep.
