Anzac Day - Special assembly

The laying of the wreath was followed by a minutes silence.

Students from Prep to Year 7 attended a special Anzac Day Assembly today to commemorate Anzac Day.

The school leaders ran the parade where students heard the story of the mystery that surrounded the fields that bloomed with poppies over the graves of the fallen soldiers. We listened to "In Flanders Field", a poem by John McCrae, followed by the Year 7 students reciting "We Shall Keep the Faith" in response.

The Junior School Choir sang "Lest We Forget" before the laying of the wreath and The Ode. After The Last Post we all paid our respects with a minute silence.

Peace messages were written onto white doves by each class. These doves were attached to red balloons and released after the messages were read out.
